Set up a Pinterest Business account

For visual businesses (interiors, food, fashion, weddings), Pinterest is a hidden traffic goldmine.

  1. Sign up for Pinterest Business

Go to business.pinterest.com, sign up (or convert existing personal account). Free forever. Adds analytics and the ability to run ads later.

  2. Claim your website

Settings, Claim, enter your domain. Pinterest gives you a snippet to add to your site's <head>. This attributes any pin from your site back to you and boosts distribution.

  3. Design your first 15 pins

Vertical 2:3 ratio (1000x1500 px). Use Canva Pinterest templates. Big readable text, one clear image. Each pin should link to a different blog post or product page.

  4. Create 5 relevant boards

Not '#bakery'. Specific boards like 'Small kitchen bakery setup', 'Wedding cake ideas', 'Sourdough recipes'. Each board is a mini SEO landing page inside Pinterest.

  5. Add keywords to every pin description

Pinterest is a search engine. Write 200-character descriptions with the exact phrases people search: 'small wedding cake ideas for 20 guests, buttercream, austin tx'.

  6. Pin consistently, at least 5x a week

Pinterest rewards accounts that pin regularly. Use Tailwind (free tier) or Pinterest's native scheduler to automate. Consistency beats frequency spikes.

That’s the whole thing.
