Guide
Write a job posting that actually attracts good candidates
Skip the generic corporate template and write a posting real people want to apply to.
Lead with the role, not the company history
Say what the person will actually do in the first two lines. A paragraph of company mission before the job description loses readers immediately.
Be specific about day-to-day tasks
'Manage social media' tells a candidate nothing. 'Post 3x a week on Instagram and reply to DMs within a day' tells them exactly what they're signing up for.
List real requirements, not a wish list
Every extra 'nice to have' filters out good candidates who assume they need all of it. Separate must-haves from nice-to-haves clearly.
Include the pay range
Postings with a range get more, and better-matched, applicants. Vague ones waste everyone's time getting to the number eventually anyway.
End with a simple way to apply
A short, clear application step gets more of the right people through. A ten-field form before anyone's even talked to you filters out good candidates too early.
That’s the whole thing.
