Guide
Track expenses without losing receipts
Build a habit that captures every business expense the moment it happens, not weeks later.
Photograph receipts immediately
Most bookkeeping and banking apps let you snap a photo and attach it to the transaction on the spot. Do it before the receipt goes in a pocket or a bin.
Use one inbox for digital receipts
Forward email receipts to a dedicated folder or address rather than letting them scatter across your personal inbox.
Note what the expense was actually for
A receipt alone doesn't explain context. A one-line note, 'client lunch, ABC Corp', saves confusion months later and is often required to justify a deduction.
Do a weekly sweep
Once a week, go through any paper receipts or missed photos and get them into the system. Anything more than a week old tends to get lost for good.
That’s the whole thing.
